The Stanislaus Senior Foundation is a charitable organization founded in 2008 that focuses on enhancing the lives of the senior population. We continue to advocate for vulnerable seniors as well as raise funds to provide needed goods and services that help to enhance their safety and well-being.
Over the past year, we have used funds raised to sponsor seniors in 13 cities throughout Stanislaus County via our “Adopt a Grandparent” project. These seniors are visited and provided with basic food supplies, blankets, toiletries and other necessities. These visits also offer an opportunity for us to educate seniors and their families about resources and services available to them. In addition, we have supported local agencies with funding used to keep seniors safe in their homes. These include purchase and installation of numerous utility ramps for seniors, security locks, heating, plumbing and flooring repairs. All of these very basic changes and additions have served to maintain the recipient seniors safely and much more securely in the homes they love.
We believe that charitable giving should begin at the local level. Seniors are our most underserved, undervalued and most vulnerable population. They often find themselves alone, frightened, hungry and greatly at risk for injury and/or abuse. The funds you have so generously donated will help them in a very real way to stay safe and live in relative security. The Stanislaus Senior Foundation works closely with the Area Agency on Aging, as well as Adult Protective Services to give emergency help to seniors who need it. We need your financial contributions to continue our important, and at times life-saving work. Please support the Stanislaus Senior Foundation and help needy seniors here in our own community.
